Today, I’m glad to be joined by Jeanine Fowler of PrimeLending. She’s a bonafide mortgage expert, so I’m asking her a few common lending questions I get from my clients all the time.

First, when someone is searching for a mortgage lender, what factors should they consider? According to Jeanine, they should want someone who is honest, trustworthy, and responsive to their calls. It’s crucial to find someone capable of assisting with credit situations or any challenges that may arise, ensuring they secure the best product with optimal value.

Next, I asked her about pre-qualification and qualifying for loans. According to her, pre-qualification is based on stated income and assets, while pre-approval occurs after the borrower submits all necessary documents and we verify their financial information. For loans, numerous variables come into play, like considering the entire credit picture, including income, assets, and creditworthiness. She also evaluates debt-to-income ratios and loan-to-value to determine eligibility and identify the suitable product based on their down payment.

“There are many factors that go into qualifying for a loan. ”

If you’re self-employed but need a loan, what can you do? Jeanine and PrimeLending offer various products, such as bank statement loans, catering to different needs. These options don’t necessitate traditional income documents, making them suitable for those with unique financial situations. Contact her directly if you have further questions about the lending process.

Finally, in the often complex process involving titles and other elements, is there an automated update system, or do clients need to make inquiries? According to Jeanine, they take care of everything and provide regular updates. Clients can contact them if they have questions, ensuring they are well-informed throughout the process.

I’d like to thank Jeanine once again for taking the time to speak with me. Call or email if you have questions about this topic or would like to get in touch with Jeanine. I look forward to hearing from you!
